Neighbourhood Watch

We can use this page to share information about incidents, near-misses and other security concerns within the Village.   If you have had a recent security problem,  anything stolen, no matter how small, or even an attempted break-in, please send in a comment to let us all know what happened and what action the police took, if any.

If we all watch out for each other, we can all feel safer.

    There were a couple of attempted break-ins in the village recently, between about 12 and 1pm on 11 March. The householders affected want to warn all of us to be vigilant and observant of any unusual or suspicious activity.

Afternoon Tea Party

The next afternoon tea party will be held on Monday 6 February at 2.30pm in the Village Hall.  All welcome.

Chelker Wind Turbines

The planning authority will decide on the application to build 2  new 75m-high wind turbines at Chelker reservoir at a meeting to be held on Monday 13 February at the District Council offices.  A full text of the Parish Council’s objections to this development may be viewed here:
