]]> http://www.draughton.org/2011/10/12/next-meeting-of-the-parish-council/feed/ 0 Winter Maintenance http://www.draughton.org/2011/09/24/winter-maintenance/ http://www.draughton.org/2011/09/24/winter-maintenance/#comments Sat, 24 Sep 2011 12:23:17 +0000 janemarkham http://www.draughton.org/?p=946 As the seasons change and winter approaches, it is worth being prepared for the snow.  We now know what can happen if grit is in short supply!  The Council will clear major roads (primarily the A65 and the bus route) and, as last year, will provide us with at least one refill of the roadside grit bins (depending on their stock levels).  Remember – the grit in the bins is for use on the public highways only – everyone needs to have their own stock for use on their own driveway and access route.   If you can store it, buy it in now, and take advantage of current prices.
